The tray assembler works with food production team and nutrition office operators to assemble and deliver patient meal trays to inpatients.
They are also responsible for assisting in the dish room throughout their shift, delivering other food and food supply items to hospital departments, and performing general cleaning tasks in the kitchen.
Strong customer service and teamwork skills are a must for a successful tray assembler.

Responsibilities
Assembles and delivers meal trays to inpatient rooms.
Delivers trays within 45 minutes of order being placed.
Assists patients with tasks prior to eating their meal such as opening beverages or condiments and adjusting their tray table.
Delivers orders of floor stock food and supply items to inpatient and outpatient units throughout the hospital.
Assists in collecting dirty patient trays from inpatient units and returning them to the kitchen for cleaning.
Works as a team with the dish washers to wash pots & pans, disassemble dirty patient trays, separate and scrub dishes and run dishes through dish machine.
Puts away dishes and utensils after they are clean and dry.
Demonstrates the UnityPoint Health Values and Standards of Behaviors as well as adheres to policies and procedures and safety guidelines.
Demonstrates ability to meet business needs of department with regular, reliable attendance.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements :
Must be at least 16 years of age
Preferred Requirements :
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
6-12 months food service, customer service, or health care experience preferred.
