Pediatric Psychiatrist - Blank Children's Hospital - Des Moines, IA

UnityPoint Health is actively recruiting for a Pediatric Psychiatrist to join our team at Blank Children’s Hospital in Des Moines, IA.   

Blank Children's Hospital, a service of UnityPoint Health - Des Moines, is completely dedicated to meeting the unique health care needs of children. Blank Children's is a 108-bed environment that embraces and encourages families to be a part of their child's healing and recovery. Everything from equipment to decor is designed specifically for children.

• Growing practice with large referral base
• Experienced staff, both clinical and non-clinical, who know the patients and the community
• Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination

Responsibilities

• Average of 15 patients per day
• Shared call amongst the providers. Currently 1:4 – Triaged through MyNurse
• Patients range from ages 2-18
• Combination of inpatient and outpatient work
• Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and

Qualifications

• Board Certified MD or DO
• Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
• Eligible to work in the United States
