The Physician Liaison is responsible for coordinating successful onboarding of all new Providers and develop relationships with Providers that encourage utilization of UPH facilities and services. Scope of role spans the various processes of onboarding Providers to include orientation and serve as an ongoing resource for the provider. This description covers the most significant duties performed but does not exclude other occasional work assignments not mentioned.

Business Planning

• Track payments and completion of needed documentation
• Maintain documentation and files
• Distribution of new provider paperwork
• Provide education around Lawson Self-service for tax and direct deposit forms
• Collect I-9 data.
• Benefit education and enrollment guidance within the intranet
• Partner with Credentialing staff to assure timely documentation to include, but not limited to licensure and DEA documentation
• Responsible for the coordination and scheduling of the Provider orientation program
• Net Learning

Relationship Building

• Bridge together Recruiter, Manager & Compliance
• Communication with clinic administrator, regional leadership, human resources and Service Line Director to ensure appropriate leadership is aware of new provider
• Act as a liaison for all provider questions and coordinate a timely response and follow-up on issues
• Provide or facilitate with Service Line Directors necessary tours and orientations
• Educate, communicate and identify issues for providers/offices
• Facilitate meet and greet for new providers with current providers for referral alignment
• Provide specifics for new provider postcards/posters to be placed in various locations
