***$7,500 SIGN ON BONUS*** (full-time only)

Shift Options:

1. Full-time Monday-Thursday Overnights (32 hours/week), no call included (Methodist)

2. Full-time Monday-Thursday Evenings 1pm-11pm (40 hours/week) (Methodist)

3. Full-time Monday-Wednesday, Friday day shift (32 hours/week), weeknight, weekend and holiday call rotation (Lutheran)

4. PRN- As Needed (Methodist)

Under the direction of a Radiologist or PA, performs Diagnostic and Interventional Ultrasound Procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply Ultrasound Technology. The primary goal of UnityPoint Health – Des Moines is to provide the best possible health care to the sick and the injured. Diagnostic procedures performed by the Ultrasound Technologist contribute directly toward this goal.

Education: Graduated from an accredited ARDMS program

Experience: No experience required.

License(s)/Certification(s): ARDMS Registered in Physics and 2 categories within 1 year of hire, with Abdomen as 1 required category. (Category i.e. Abdomen, OB/Gyn, Pediatric, Breast, Vascular). Maintain ARDMS CEU requirements. Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain certification within three (3) months from date of hire.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English. Multicultural sensitivity. Critical thinking skills using independent judgment in making decisions. Must understand Ultrasound routines and provide diagnostic Ultrasounds.
