- Safely parking and retrieving customer/patient vehicles ensuring they are locked when leaving unattended.
- Assist visitors and patients in and out of vehicles.
- Responsible for the placement of all valet parked keys.
- Inspecting vehicles prior to moving from valet area for damage. Document with patient/visitor sign off.
- Demonstrate initiative to improve quality and customer service by striving to exceed customer expectations.

- Demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule.
- Practices reflect knowledge of HIPAA, DNV and OSHA, and any other federal/state regulatory agencies guiding healthcare.
- Demonstrates the knowledge that patient and workplace safety are a priority in preventing errors, accidents and infections and reporting potential or actual concerns immediately.
- Receives and responds to all requests for valet parking and retrieval with the utmost respect to patients/family’s personal property and time.
- Situations of a critical nature may require an individual to perform multiple tasks until additional support can be obtained.
- Respond to urgent situations including Code Blue, Code Green, and falls when in the immediate area.
- Moving patients / visitors via wheelchair, to office buildings, testing sites, and floors as needed.
- Delivering gift shop items to designated floors.
- Safely maintain and operate a wheelchair van while in compliance with all laws and requirements pertaining to the operation of the vehicle and adheres to safety rules and practices.
- Provide door – through – door pick-up and drop-off for all customers.
- Adheres to all traffic regulations.
- Reports accidents and incidents in writing as instructed and as necessary.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to hear, read, write, and speak English.
- Good Driving Record
- 6 Months Customer service experience.
- Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
- Wheelchair Van Drivers required to have current Iowa D3 Chauffeur's License or above
