What you will do:

Utilize underwriting guidelines to accept, reject, or mitigate risk from received applications and determine appropriate premiums, limits, and coverages. Build relationships with clients and brokers to cultivate growth.

• Evaluate insurance applications and determine coverage and premium rates based on risk assessment and established company guidelines and philosophies
• Meet production goals while maintaining underwriting integrity and overall profitability
• Collaborate with agents or brokers to gather additional information or clarify details on applications
• Maintain excellent communication
• Work collaboratively with other team members
• Keep current on issues, trends and emerging liabilities impacting the marketplace
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries or concerns from policyholders or agents
• Performs other duties as assigned

What you will need:

• Property & Casualty Insurance License, Highly Encouraged
• 2 years previous insurance underwriting experience, P&C preferred
• Well versed in insurance coverages, policies and guidelines
• Multi state experience preferred
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Team Player, Client Focused Attitude!

The Details:

This role is performed on location in Phoenix, Arizona 7:30-4:30 M-F with a hybrid work arrangement. We offer Paid Time Off, nine paid holidays off, and your birthday off with pay. For each employee we provide company paid life, STD, LTD, AD&D, and vision insurance, as well as company assisted health and dental insurance. Life and health buy-up options and/or family coverages are available. We also offer a 401(k) with a company match and a quarterly bonus opportunity.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $46,000.00 - $54,000.00 per year
