JOB SUMMARY: Assists Supervisor and other Legal team members with contract drafts, reviews and all areas of contracting process. Processes contracts and related documents to ensure accuracy for operational/project teams in accordance with the Contracts Policies and Procedures and all applicable Universal Orlando Systems.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- As directed by Supervisor, drafts scopes of work and compiles and routes contract documents for internal and external approvals and execution. Assists Supervisor with preparing appropriate contract forms, including all addenda items, and assists with negotiation of Terms & Conditions in a form consistent with Universal Orlando policies and procedures.
- Verifies insurance coverage and other compliance matters. Prepares Letters of Authorization or Notice to Proceed Issue (if required) with the assistance of Supervisor. Assists Supervisor with preparing and monitoring of Notices of Commencement.
- Prepares and issues contract change orders. Issues Contract Status Reports. Maintains contract files, document control, and retention of files, and provides client training with assistance from Supervisor.
- Assists Legal, Sourcing, and project teams with pre-qualification of bidders and securing of confidentiality agreements. Confirms vendor master agreement status. May assist Supervisor, Sourcing, and project teams with RFPs, bidder review and selection of successful bidder.
- Prepares and issues close out documentation with the assistance of the Supervisor.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION: Associate’s degree is required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
EXPERIENCE: 1 years contract experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent contract writing skills required. Writing sample required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
