JOB SUMMARY: The eCommerce Specialist assists in the planning and development of web and mobile app booking platform program development for both Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood. The eCommerce Specialist is supporting the collaboration and partnership to hep creation of a best in class booking experience for Universal Destination and Experiences North America destinations (Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood). This Individual is contributing to driving KPIs for a given booking platform.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
EXPERIENCE ENHANCEMENT & OPTIMIZATION
- Assist in the effort to enhance the online customer experience within a given booking platform.
- Participate in the ideation, development, and collaboration within Digital Program Teams to enhance consumer experiences within our websites and mobile apps.
- Lean into testing, data and other insights to optimize ecommerce initiatives and provide continuous improvement of business performance metrics and recommendations on how to improve program results. Share insights are shared across teams and partners.
- Help investigate and resolve website functionality issues by working with internal and external technology partners.
- Review and suggest optimizations for the booking engine using available data to drive decisions and updates.
- Assist in defining and communicating business requirements for the development of new capabilities and functionality that effectively enables marketing strategies.
- Review and QA the site/app creative to ensure it is meeting project objectives and components are functioning correctly.
- Help in identifying new eCommerce best practices and integrated them into standardized templates and playbooks for ongoing use in integrated marketing campaigns.
- Responsible for reviewing and monitoring competitive websites and trends in ecommerce. Bring the organization’s attention to new ideas/technologies as they emerge.
DIGITAL COLLABORATION
- Build relationships with partners and act as ecommerce team representative to various internal “clients” who rely on UOR & USH digital properties to advance their business needs and goals.
- Partner with UX/UI, Direct & Digital Marketing, Optimization, Technology, Experience & Transformation, Analytics and Digital Production in defining, building and optimizing consumer experiences with a focused effort to drive efficiency, scale, relevancy and speed-to-market.
- Partner with Digital CX Analytics in understand performance and user behavior to identify key insights and areas of opportunity for future development and optimization of the booking platform.
ECOMMERCE STRATEGY AND PLANNING
- General understanding of the eCommerce Annual Plan and team roadmap and help support the build out of the plan with individual tactics to support the goals and objectives.
- Actively participate in integrated Program Team work sessions for the integration of web and mobile app experiences into integrated communication plans.
- Ensure that projects are progressing as outlined in the roadmap in the established timelines. Escalate as necessary.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or Advertising is required. Master’s degree is a plus.
EXPERIENCE:
- 2 years of experience in ecommerce, Product Management/Marketing or Digital Marketing, name brand travel or retail sectors is a plus.
- Experience with web-based and app product lifecycle management.
- Experience developing and analyzing reports to measure program success and making data and insights driven decisions.
Preferred:
- Experience with analytics platforms (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics)
