Purpose of the Position:

Entry-Level Full-time Human Resources/Office Assistant, in collaboration with HQ HR team, provides full-cycle recruitment service to assigned business groups, executes other HR projects as needed and assists in office coordination/front desk tasks.

Main responsibilities:

  • Act as focal point of HR contact for local offices (Houston and Plano).
  • Perform the basic duties of an Office Administrator - Front Desk for the Houston office.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers in recruitment, such as assessing manpower needs, review and update job descriptions, posts announcements, screening, interview arrangements and other related tasks.
  • Conduct employee onboarding process, including offer letter and contract agreement preparation, collect and properly file on-boarding documents, I-9 verification and filing, coordinate new hire orientation training and coordinate among internal activation teams.  
  • Manage the administration process of employee status change (such as completing training/ probation periods, promotion, benefit entitlement change, exit, etc.) 
  • Maintain an up-to-date employee record within HRIS and other HR operation tracking spreadsheets. 
  • Prepare various HR reports and employee data analysis as needed.
  • Manage the employee exit / offboarding process by terminating them in HRIS and other HR operation tracking spreadsheets. 
  • Support performance reviews, prepare, distribute and file promotion/warning letters. 
  • Interpret and explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations daily to assist managers and employees.
  • Support/take lead in various HR programs especially employee engagement events company wide. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Requirements:

  • Bilingual in Chinese (Mandarin) is preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States at the time of hire.
  • At least six months of experience in HR, preferably in Recruitment.
  • Ability to work independently, reliably and allocate time efficiently with limited direction, self-starter.
  • Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Organizational skills with an ability to prioritize work and multi-task several projects, simultaneously.
  • Basic knowledge of State and Federal employment law / or being able to acquire such knowledge quickly.
  • Experience in a diverse culture workplace is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business, Organizational Development, or Communication preferred.

Compensation:

The base salary for this position may range from $36,000 - $42,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility, and qualifications.
