Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Optometrist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing comprehensive eye care services, including diagnosing and treating vision problems, prescribing corrective lenses, and promoting eye health. 

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess patients' visual acuity, eye health, and prescription needs
• Prescribe corrective lenses, including eyeglasses and contact lenses
• Provide pre-and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgeries, such as cataract and refractive surgeries
• Detect and manage eye diseases, such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as ophthalmologists and primary care physicians, to provide comprehensive patient care
• Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in optometry and eye care technology
• Provide low vision care to legally blind/ visually impaired patients as appropriate. 
• Provide administrative support to service including but not limited to opportunities to supervise, educate, and train interns, residents, and ophthalmic techs. 

Requirements

Requirements:

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school
• Valid state license to practice optometry
• Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and promoting eye health

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Proficiency in fitting specialty contact lenses, such as scleral and multifocal lenses
• Experience in pediatric optometry or low-vision rehabilitation
