University Frames is looking for an experienced, Saw Operator that is quality focused to join our wood moulding cutting team. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate. Duties/Responsibilities: • Set up and operate various moulding cutting saws and equipment. • Cut length moulding to size with a focus on quality and reduction of waste. • Make sure all moulding usage paperwork is completed, accurate and documented for each job assignment. • Meet and/or exceed daily department and personal production goals. • Notify Saw Room Lead or Production Supervisor of any quality, equipment, materials, or production related issues. • Maintain neat and clean work area. • Teamwork a must! Experience/Education • 2-Plus years of experience in high volume wood framing manufacturing, furniture, or carpentry… etc. • High school diploma or GED Required Skills • Good knowledge on safe and appropriate use of power saws and other finishing equipment. • Good skills and knowledge of working with wood materials. Picture framing experience a plus. • Able to work with minimal supervision. • Expert knowledge of measurements using a standard ruler. • Good analytical and problem-solving skills. • Good math and dimensional skills.
