Responsibilities

The Executive Director Informatics will work under the direction of the Chief Information Officer and be responsible for collaborative planning, managing and implementing University Hospital’s Health Informatics program. Leveraging expertise in clinical care of patients, facility operations, and informatics to drive hospital standards of practice across electronic medical record systems.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Health Informatics, or another related field such as Nursing Informatics. Three (3) years of post-master’s experience, at least two (2) years of which shall have been in a medical setting. Three (3) years of management/leadership experience required. Knowledge of Epic EHR system. Experience with design, development, implementation, integration, and execution of informatics initiatives. Strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Strong verbal and written communication skills required, must demonstrate a strong orientation to customer satisfaction, effective teamwork, problem solving and utilizing small group dynamics in conflict management. Familiarity with regulatory standards and best practices related to clinical informatics. Candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree may substitute additional related professional experience for the Master’s Degree.
