The primary purpose of the Physician Assistant, Inpatient Medicine position is to provide healthcare services under the direction and supervision of a NJ Licensed Attending Physician at University Hospital. Examines patients on the Hepatology/Liver Service, performs comprehensive physician examination, and complies patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination. Practices in an ethical manner pursuant to the standards of care for Physician Assistants. Certified as a Physician Assistant in the State of New Jersey required. Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field required. Graduation from a Physician Assistants Program approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). Certification from the National Commission for Certification by Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Prior experience in clinical medicine is preferred.
