What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Director of Nursing/Infection Control Nurse position at University Nursing & Rehabilitation Center?
University Nursing and Rehabilitation is looking for an Assistant Director of Nursing/Infection Control Nurse with experience working in skilled nursing/long-term care to take on this leadership position. The ADON/Infection Control Nurse position is eligible for a PTO, health dental/vision insurance, 401k, and life insurance.
Summary of duties:
- Ensure quality performance and conformance with regulation and laws
- Participate in state/federal nursing home survey process
- Assists in writing the resultant plan of corrections and ensure they are carried out
- Coordinates the QA/CQI process
- Supervises, educates and coaches other nursing personnel/care-giving staff.
- Assures proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state and federal laws.
- Monitors and reviews clinical documentation
- Stays informed about changes in the field of nursing. Shares information with appropriate organization
- Makes routine rounds, assesses residents’ needs and changes in status.
- Reviews and investigates incident reports with follow-up as appropriate.
- Engages with resident families to address concerns and issues.
- Ensures all unit staff provides quality delivery of care and a high level of customer service to all residents, visitors, peers and vendors.
- Provides mentoring, guidance, and teaches staff as necessary.
