Position Summary
The University of Alabama School of Law seeks qualified applicants for the position of Director of the Domestic Violence Law Clinic and Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical Legal Instruction.

Detailed Position Information
The Director of the Domestic Violence Law Clinic and Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical Legal Instruction will oversee and/or conduct all phases of legal advocacy for clinic clients, teach and supervise law clinic students, and manage other law clinic staff. The position is for a clinical faculty appointment with opportunity for promotion and security of position. We seek applications from entry-level and lateral candidates with demonstrated potential for outstanding law practice, clinical education, and scholarly achievement. This is a year-round (12 month) contract position. Salary, benefits, and research support will be nationally competitive. Minimum Qualifications
J.D. degree from an ABA accredited law school, a distinguished academic record, and experience as a clinical teacher or practicing lawyer. Candidates must be licensed to practice law in Alabama or become licensed no later than one year after accepting the position.

Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to applicants with significant experience in family law and/or domestic violence civil matters.
