Duties:
The University of Alaska Anchorage seeks an engaging and collaborative individual to serve as the Orientation and Campus Visit Coordinator within the Division of Student Affairs. The ideal candidate is a natural collaborator who brings leadership, excitement, creativity, and a collaborative team-oriented philosophy. This position will work to plan and execute the summer orientation and campus visit programs to engage new and prospective students into the University of Alaska Anchorage.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Excellent oral communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively verbally in front of small and large groups and to provide regular presentations and trainings.
Excellent written communication skills.
Must be able to think quickly to resolve unexpected situations calmly and with tact and diplomacy.
Ability to manage competing deadlines, short and long term tasks.
Must be detail-oriented and highly organized.
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
Experience in customer service.
Experience in event planning or scheduling.
Experience in public speaking.
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution required.
UAA academic experience preferred.
REQUIRED EDUCATION OR TRAINING:
Bachelor’s degree from regionally accredited institution
UAA academic experience preferred.

This is a full-time, Grade 78, minimum $23.84/hr, DOE, 12-month position complete with a competitive salary and UA employee benefits package.
