Data Architect II supports the Data Warehouse maintained by the University Analytics and Institutional Research division. The Enterprise Data Warehouse combines data from various transactional systems including PeopleSoft HCM, PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (CS), Kuali KFS, and Kuali Coeus, among others. This position will primarily focus on designing, developing, and implementing the ETL processes for the PeopleSoft and Kuali contents of the data warehouse. This position requires understanding business requirements, strong analytic skills, creating and modifying ETL workflows, validating completeness and accuracy of data, testing and documenting modifications.

- Develop, test, and maintain IBM InfoSphere DataStage 11.7 jobs for the institutional Data Warehouse.
- Assist the ETL team in developing and testing IBM InfoSphere DataStage 11.7 jobs for the institutional DataWarehouse.
- Work closely with ETL Development Team to debug existing jobs and help offload other ETL team member responsibilities.
- Creating and maintaining documentation relating to business processes translated into ETL/ELT jobs.
- Provides support to end users and handle support requests in a timely manner.
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned by ETL lead.
- Additional duties may include gathering and analyzing business, data and reporting requirements, plus documentation and specification of requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in IT technologies.
- Experience with any enterprise-scale relational database i.e. Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or IBM DB2
- Experience developing jobs using ETL tools and technologies i.e. IBM Datastage, Informatica, Talend
- Experience using any coding/scripting languages i.e. Python, Bash shell, C , C#, or Java
- Experience in data movement involving SOAP, REST, JSON, XML, or related technologies
- Experience in developing ETL jobs with IBM InfoSphere DataStage 9
- Experience writing Oracle SQL and PL/SQL scripts
- Experience with data modeling concepts, databases, and data integration
- Experience with batch scheduling tools i.e., Autosys, Tivoli, or Control-M
