Summary of Job Duties:
The Business Analyst provides fiscal support for ongoing business operations and acts as the liaison with groups across campus, regarding financial transaction preparation and & review (40%). This position runs customer financial reports and reviews them for accuracy (30%). Assists with budget development and review (20%), and other duties as assigned (10%).

Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • The formal education equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in business administration, general business, public administration or related field
  • At least three years of progressively more responsible experience in business management, communications management or a related field
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least at least two years of accounting experience
  • At least two years of university experience
  • At least two years budget experience
  • Workday experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Detail-oriented
  • Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Strong excel skills using sorts, functions, formulas and filters and pivot tables
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures as well as applicable laws
  • Ability to prepare detailed reports and perform analysis
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion

Additional Information:

Salary Information:
$45,000 - $50,000 Commensurate with education and experience
