Summary of Job Duties:
Roles of the Videographer can include serving as director of photography, lighting director, and video editor. The Videographer can also be a project lead as a producer and director, requiring project organization, crew scheduling, and related tasks to create the finished project
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. Flexible work schedule with some night and weekend work possible.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in video production or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education
- At least two years of experience filming and editing video
- At least two years of experience setting up lights and camera equipment
Preferred Qualifications
- At least four years of experience filming and editing video
- At least four years of experience setting up lights and camera equipment
- Demonstrated ability/experience to create animations for video
- Experience with live event video production
- Professional experience working in broadcast journalism, public relations or commercial video production
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong communications skills
- Ability to stay organized
- Ability to work in a team setting
- Ability and experience with the Adobe suite of video editing software, as well as working knowledge of current video equipment
- Ability to be punctual and dependable
