Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in finance, business, healthcare or related field plustwo (2) years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle or revenue cycle related functions

OR

• High School diploma or GED equivalent plussix (6) years ofexperience in healthcare revenue cycle or revenue cycle related functions
• Excellent customer service, communication, and telephone etiquette skills.
• Must be able to perform basic operations on a computer within the Windows operating system.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with EPIC system.

* Meet with all self-pay, inpatient and observation patients to explain benefits, financial obligation, payment options and assistance programs.
* Assist patients and families in the completion of applications for financial assistance.
* Assist with financial screening and program explanation in the emergency department, as requested.
* Work effectively in a team environment.
* Comply with safety principles, laws, standards and regulations associated with CMS, Joint Commission, EMTALA and OSHA.
* Ensure compliance with UAMS Patient Access, UAMS confidentiality and HIPAA related policies and procedures.

* Performs related responsibilities as required or assigned.
