Required Experience:

• Active RN License

• BSN required

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program

• Four (4) years of clinical experience, including at least two (2) years experience in the specialty area for the position

• Two (2) years of experience in a leadership role (including Charge Nurse, Team Lead, or RN IV level at UAMS)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Able to follow oral and written instructions and communicate with other effectively

• Ability to document services provided

• Understanding of regulatory and compliance organizations/agencies

• Excellent customer relations skills

• Understands and abides by confidentiality policies

Preferred Experience:

• Master's in Nursing

• Experience in an academic medical setting

• National Nursing Certification in the specialty area of for the position

Additional Information:

Responsibilities:

• Independently provide theory and evidence-based knowledge for Inpatient/Outpatient nursing staff

• Collaborate with administrative leaders for area leadership

• Focus on orientation, professional development, skills validation, evidence-based practice, and regulatory compliance

• Lead in shared governance, nurse sensitive quality indicators, and performance improvement

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team as leader, consultant, and change agent

• Possess strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Interact with and assist public professionally

• Maintain strict confidentiality

• Foster positive relationships with co-workers, management, and ancillary departments

• Follow Patient and Family Centered Care and Code of Conduct Guidelines

• Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders

• Perform other assigned duties
