Summary of Job Duties:
Testing Center Administrator – Coordinator of Testing Services

  • Research and analyze data to develop processes and support testing requirements
  • Assist with scheduling of tests at all UA – Pulaski Technical College locations, acting as the primary test proctor for all UA – Pulaski Technical College locations and partners’ sites when needed;
  • Run sync processes for Jenzbar EX, JRM, and other testing services to update current scores in all systems
  • Run and produce score reports as needed
  • Maintain all testing materials and ensure that test information is readily available to students;
  • Assist with test accommodations for students with disabilities as requested
  • Log student test information related to the admissions and registration process;
  • Develop and maintains a variety of databases and spreadsheets needed to track and verify the student testing scores and accounts;
  • Responsible for proper and timely entry of time records, payroll related documents, purchase requisitions, travel authorizations, or any procedural forms required by other departments or divisions;
  • Administer the computer-based CASTLE, KAPLAN, TEAS, and CLEP test (requires special training and approval from the national test company. High security and confidentiality). Administer computer-based ACCUPLACER tests (requires the ability to analyze Jenzabar screens, determine student eligibility and analyze test results (medium security and confidentiality). Administer any and all tests as needed, either in office or at another locations including local high schools and career centers (requires special training, approval from national test company, and criminal background check. High security and confidentiality);
  • Supervise or administer tests for national paper/pencil testing programs such as Praxis, ACT, LSAT, MPRE, and others as assigned; at times involving dozens of staff members and hundreds of students, and sometimes involving Saturday test dates;
  • Assist in hiring, training, and supervising test proctors who are brought in for national test assuring that adequate resources (facilities, staff, etc.) are available for each program;
  • Produce and mail official test scores as requested;
  • Respond to requests for information from faculty, staff, or students by phone or email;
  • Administrative duties such as: answer telephone, take messages for staff and greet visitors. Orient and train new student employees of office procedures and the campus. Make and schedule appointments for facilities reservations and assure all front desk activities are coordinated efficiently;
  • Assist with organization of large test administrations at all UA – Pulaski Technical College locations;
  • Assist with test accommodations for students with disabilities as requested;
  • Design and implement a test preparation program, including but not limited to, online resources, print materials, and bridge programs;
  • Analyze data to aid in predictive models to ensure student placement and support in early UA – Pulaski Technical College coursework;
  • Represent UA - Pulaski Technical College with the Arkansas College Testing Association (ACTA), to gain the knowledge and networks necessary to continue to improve Test Services at UA – Pulaski Technical College.
  • Investigate different student’s assessment to potentially deploy based on future need;
  • Oversee the credit-by-examination program. This includes working with faculty to determine credit policy, communicating policy to students and the general public, and posting credit to student transcripts;
  • Training additional test proctors and other UA – Pulaski Technical College staff on test procedures and processes; and
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
  • The formal education of a high school diploma; associates degree preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; must be able to develop and maintain a rapport with students, co-workers, staff and faculty.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in higher education
  • Previous history with testing services
  • Excellent computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite, database maintenance
  • Must take initiative to learn new area of information and be able to adjust to challenges in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to adhere to Testing Providers and UAPTC policies and procedures

Additional Information:

Salary Information:
$25,000 - $35,000
