Summary of Job Duties:The Assistant Project Manager will assist the Director of Project Management and Optimization with facilities management of all business space on and off campus including WCOB, WJWH, RCED, and business spaces in JBHT, HAPG, BREW, and any Walton swing spaces; serve as project manager for small scale facility projects and renovations, assist in the administration and planning of facilities usage; perform routine inspections of spaces to determine needed maintenance, oversee the implementation and update of the Emergency Management Plan, manage all access requests for electronic and key entry, manage the moving and setup for all major and minor departmental changes including moving furniture and minor wall hanging installation; manage inventory control; manage daily work order requests; supervise hourly staff; review financial management of facilities expenses; and other special duties and projects as assigned.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • The formal education of a bachelor's degree with a major in sociology, public administration, management, operations, or a related field

  • At least two years of experience in project or program coordination or management

Applicable equivalencies may be considered on the above qualifications.

  • Experience in facilities coordination/management, storage, operations, or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Higher education experience

  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience

  • Experience managing projects and budgets

  • Experience working with a ticketing system

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Microsoft Office skills

  • Ability to multi-task and work with deadlines


Additional Information:

This position will be required to work 7:30 am - 4:30 pm daily.


Salary Information:

Up to $40,000
