Summary of Job Duties:The Associate Dean for Faculty, Technology, and Accreditation serves as one of two associate deans in the College of Business, Health, and Human Services (CBHHS). Responsibilities include directing leadership team tasks, oversight and direction of information technology, administration of the Faculty Success database, oversight of third-year review, promotion, and tenure processes, facilitation of school/departmental accreditation processes, liaison with the College Assembly and liaison with Human Resources, oversees faculty instructional load report submission and review, facilitates faculty travel request process, and assists chair and directors as need with any faculty-related issues. The Associate Dean plays a vital role in leadership discussions and strategic planning. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.Qualifications:

Required Education and/or Experience:

  • Earned doctorate or terminal degree in a discipline appropriate to the College;
  • Minimum of five years of higher education teaching experience;
  • Academic credentials appropriate for the rank of associate professor or professor;
  • Minimum of 3 years of successful leadership, administrative, or management experience in higher education.

Preferred Education and/or Experience:

  • Experience working with an accrediting body such as AACSB, ACEN, CACREP, CSWE, etc.;
  • Dedicated commitment to fostering an inclusive working and learning environment;
  • Experience with resource management including budgets and technology;
  • Experience managing and working on a team.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a member of the CBHHS dean's leadership team;
  • Liaison to IT Services through CBHHS IT Director;
  • Coordinate Faculty Success updates, processes, and support for CBHHS;
  • Oversee third-year review and promotion and tenure process;
  • Works with accredited programs and accreditation-seeking programs on accreditation processes and timelines as needed;
  • Ensure timely submission of assessment and accreditation reports by CBHHS programs;
  • Oversee Faculty Excellence awards process;
  • Work with the College Assembly and faculty committees to ensure proper timelines, processes, and procedures as outlined in the governance document are followed;
  • Serve as the college liaison between the college and human resources;
  • Work with chairs and directors on faculty instructional load reports;
  • Facilitate faculty travel funding requests;
  • Assist chair and directors as needed with any faculty-related issues;
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Strong, collaborative leadership skills;
  • Well-developed organizational and problem-solving skills;
  • Computer literate with a practical knowledge of current technology;
  • Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
