Duties/Responsibilities include:
Outline work plan and assigns duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
*Coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget
*Prepares project reports for management, DOE, or others.
*Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
*Project manager plans, directs, and coordinates GEAR UP activities to ensure that goals orobjectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
*Reviews project proposal and outcomes on a regular basis and plans to determine timeframe, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
*Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project, and arranges for recruitment orassignment of project personnel.Qualifications:
Qualifications
Masters' Degree in STEM areas, Literacy or related field and five years administrative experience serving disadvantaged populations and/or with federal, state, or other grant program reporting responsibilities (Doctoral-level preferred). In addition, the applicant must have the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, program officers, evaluators, parents, community professionals. Experience coordinating multiple programs, expertise in curriculum development, demonstration of excellent oral and written communication, the ability to make decisions regarding budgeting and financial planning. In addition the applicant must be able to provide leadership of day-to-day programming, have experience with working with a multicultural populations, and demonstrated competency with technology, internet, and software.
