Required:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California
- At least 1 year of nursing experience at a hospital or clinic
- Knowledge of physical, social, psychological and nursing sciences
- Recent pediatric nursing experience Must have excellent phlebotomy and IV skills
- Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to make decisions necessary to deal effectively and efficiently with solving problems
- Self-motivated, requiring minimal supervision in performing responsibilities
- Skills, knowledge and ability to properly assess condition of participants
- Ability to recognize signs and symptoms which require immediate attention
- Knowledgeable in basic infection control principles
- Ability to conduct basic participant education based on patient education teaching principles
- Ability to work with culturally diverse populations
- Must possess a current Basic Life Support (BLS) healthcare certification card
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Ability to be trained in the use of specialized medical equipment and procedures
- Writing skills to prepare clear research records
- Must be willing to work some weekends and holidays
- Valid California Driver’s License or ability to obtain one as required by the Department of Motor Vehicles
Preferred:
- BSN
- Basic computer skills
- Legible handwriting
