DescriptionThe Department of Surgery's Cardiothoracic division is seeking to hire a full time Administrative Supervisor. You will serve as the supervisor of an administrative team who provide executive support to a Division in the Department of Surgery and leadership.
In this role you will:
* Be responsible for reading reports, synthesizing data, assignment allocation and providing brief summaries of same.
* Manage work assignments of employees performing the same general work as the lead on a day-to-day basis.
* Use strategic thinking to problem solve, implementing new processes, and providing instructions on work procedures.
* Be responsible for management of projects involving complexity, sensitivity, numerous contacts with faculty, department leaders, and senior level executives.
* May generally have broad authority within established parameters to make decisions.
Pay Range: $64,800.00 - $137,600.00 annually.
QualificationsRequired
* Advanced organizational and project management skills, including ability to work independently, determine appropriate priorities, and complete projects accurately, efficiently, and with a high level of attention to detail, despite competing deadlines.
* Analytical skills sufficient to interpret and apply University and campus policies; define problems; formulate logical conclusions, recognize alternatives.
* Strong written skills to prepare accurate, concise, and clear reports and documents.
* Communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with University-wide and campuswide Administrators, Deans, Department Chair, faculty and staff.
* Advanced expertise using computer software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, database management and timekeeping software.
* Ability to use high-level discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
* Knowledge of academic and/or administrative structure of institutions of higher education.
