College of Engineering and Computer Science:

The UCF College of Engineering and Computer Science is among the nation's largest producers of engineering and technology workforce talent, and we are the No. 1 provider of graduates to the defense and aerospace industries. The Opportunity

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join the laboratory of Dr. Ben D. Sawyer. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of administrative and coordination tasks such as coordinating purchases, managing vendors, scheduling meetings, taking notes, and other small projects as needed. To be successful in this role, you should have a track record of delivering high-quality work with attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be able to simultaneously handle several projects, and prioritize action items within our interdisciplinary environment. You will work directly with researchers and other professionals to ensure smooth and efficient operations. The Readability Consortium operates within the College of Engineering and Computer Science at The University of Central Florida, in Orlando, FL. Our lab is directed by Dr. Ben Sawyer, an Industrial Engineer, and Experimental Psychologist. Research Scientist Dr. Stephanie Day, a Developmental Psychologist, leads our work with children. Responsibilities:

• Coordinating purchases needed for research studies.
• Managing vendors who work with our laboratory.
• Coordinating and scheduling meetings.
• Taking detailed meeting notes.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma.
• 0 years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator.
• Familiarity with academic and university culture.
• Previous laboratory and research experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite, including spreadsheets and slides.
