Job Duties:

  • Student Conduct
    • Assess reported concerns for appropriate referral within the Office of the Dean of Students or to
      campus partners.
    • Serve as primary conduct case management administrative support, including file review, management of student sanctions, and maintenance of disciplinary records with appropriate attention to security, confidentiality, and reporting requirements.
    • Adjudicate low-level conduct violations.
    • Participate in weekly Case Management meetings.
    • Support data collection and data management for effective assessment and evaluation.
    • Maintain disciplinary records with appropriate attention to security, confidentiality, and reporting requirements (e.g., Clery Act)
    • Assist with annual Clery reporting.
    • Support drafting alcohol and other drug biennial review.
    • Conduct disciplinary records investigations as requested.
  • Office Support and Conduct Administration
    • On a rotating basis, provide immediate support to walk-in concerns, assessing for urgent/emergent needs, deescalating when appropriate, and providing next-step solutions to students.
    • Represent the Office of the Dean of Students on various standing or ad hoc committees as assigned.
    • Support campus wide events such as orientation and commencement.
  • Additional duties
    • Work collaboratively across campus to support student focused programming.
    • Participate in UCCS committees as assigned.
    • Other duties as assigned.

What We Offer

Work Location: On-site

This position has been determined to be exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

Salary Range: Generally starting at $44,399 - $46,000 per year

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

This position is dependent on the availability of funding. Funding is currently expected to last 2.5 years.

Tentative Search Timeline:

Qualifications


Please note that while the position details both required qualifications as well as preferred qualifications below, we want applicants to be aware that they do not need to have all of the preferred qualifications to be considered for this position. If you meet the minimum qualifications, have passion for the work, along with experience in a related field, you are encouraged to apply. We encourage on-the-job training for any additional skills or knowledge that become relevant to the position.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience working with college students (minimum: 1 academic year in a professional position or 2 years in a student employment position).
  • Experience with student conduct or advising and supporting students.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in student affairs, higher education, counseling, or similar field.
  • Experience with Maxient.
  • Professional of paraprofessional experience with a student conduct office.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit. Employee is occasionally required to move. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
