This position exists to assist the Finance Office with biennial physical equipment inventory related duties required by federal and university fiscal rules. This position is responsible for reviewing and approving equipment inventory submission by campus departments.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Inventory:
- Review comments on submitted inventory and make any changes as needed.
- Respond to questions via email.
- Review and process submitted inventory.
- Review and process missing assets.
- Review and process replacement tag requests.
- Review and process approved missing assets.
Other:
- Combine PO and invoices for tags.
- Attach combined PO/invoices to tags in PSAM.
- Review tag confirmation sheets and make changes if needed/attach to tag in PSAM.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, business, finance, accounting, or a directly related field from an accredited institution with 24 semester hours in accounting or auditing is required.
- At least seven (7) years of professional accounting experience.
- A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis. Graduate courses and/or a graduate degree in accounting may be substituted for work experience.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience at a Higher Education Institution or State of Colorado Agency with knowledge of university administrative and fiscal policies and procedures.
- Experience with University of Colorado systems, reporting, finance, and PeopleSoft System financial module.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Demonstrated commitment and leadership ability to advance diversity and inclusion.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and governmental accounting standard pronouncements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn and experiment with new software and systems.
- Ability to follow standard written procedures to perform the duties.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills in financial reconciliations.
- Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as:
$35/hour
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
