What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Service Representative II (Oral Surgery) position at University of Florida?
The College of Dentistry is accepting applications for a Clinical Service Representative II in the Department of Oral Surgery. The candidate selected is responsible for checking patients in and out of a very busy clinic, scheduling patient appointments, answering incoming calls, and other clinical office duties.
Specific duties include:
- Make OMFS/CID appointments for patients and be knowledgeable of policies for accepting patients into the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery clinic.
- Along with answering the telephone on a daily basis, contacts new patients by phone regarding appointments as requested. Also confirms clinical appointments.
- Drafts and mails letters to all new patients, including information about their appointment, payment procedures, and a map of the area.
- Gather, verify, and enter demographics and insurance information.
- Ensure authorizations are in place prior to patient’s arrival; request, scan patient’s dental/medical documents into AxiUm.
- Schedule all incoming (outside) referrals to include, but not limited to UF Health facilities and COD clinics.
- Identify and collect deductible, co-payments on services; coordinate appointments with various treating providers within COD and UF Health.
- Arrange for interpreters by contacting Centers for Independent Living and/or using CryaCom phone system for patient visits.
- Assist with other clinical office duties as needed.
$15.80 per hour

High school diploma or equivalent and two years of relevant office experience. Appropriate college coursework or vocational/technical training may substitute an equivalent rate for the required experience.
