Position Summary | This position serves as a communications team member within the communications area of the EITS Planning and Engagement department. This position is responsible for leading communications efforts for IT projects, according to communications plans, as specified by supervisor. Responsibilities may include drafting web and print materials, such as press releases, stories for EITS websites, participation in collaboration meetings with partners and affected users, drafting presentations, and drafting other communication materials to targeted audiences. The scope of this position's work will also include marketing and branding of new and existing services to targeted audiences. This position contributes to planning, implementation, and participation in EITS events, such as orientation, the State of IT Annual Address, and other EITS-led events throughout the year. Responsibilities related to these events will include drafting presentations, assisting in drafting, and designing promotional materials, and coordinating event activities. This position also leads the design, writing, and editing of regular EITS newsletters and/or reports for UGA students, faculty, and staff and leads updates to the EITS website, ensuring information on the site is current and accurate. This position co-manages social media channels which includes scheduling and posting social media posts as defined by the EITS social media plan. |
