Lecturer (Philosophy), Fall 2024

Salary Information: Minimum for Academic Year 2024-2025, $1,911 per credit hour, commensurate with education and experience.

 Other Conditions:

• For lecturer applicant pool, part-time, pending availability of funds and actual staffing requirements. 
• Must be available to teach courses online and in person, either during the day, evening, or weekend.

1. Teach assigned courses in Philosophy.
2. Maintain a minimum of one office hour per week for each course taught.
3. Prepare course syllabi and reports related to teaching and student progress.
4. Work under supervision of division chair in integrating teaching efforts with other instructors in discipline area.
5. As needed, work with multi-media presentation, distance education instruction, and teaching at off-campus sites.
6. Develop curriculum and prepare course proposals for appropriate Gen Ed designations.

1. Master's degree in Philosophy.
2. Demonstrated college teaching effectiveness.

1. Effective college teaching experience in upper division courses.
2. Ph.D. in Philosophy
