Description:

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) is seeking a faculty at the Associate or Professor level to serve as the Division Director for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. The Division Director will provide leadership and strategic direction for the clinical, research, and academic activities of the division, and in partnership with the Department Head will develop a comprehensive strategy and plan for the growth and development of the division's clinical and translational research programs. The Division Director will also promote and support the development of multidisciplinary services with the division, develop the division's faculty with emphasis on quality, effectiveness, and efficiency, and participate in the direct supervision and training of residents, fellows, and medical students.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Take a leadership role in the Division, including administrative operations, clinical research, clinical care of REI patients in an outpatient setting, promote service and access to care for underserved/under-represented women, expansion of the IVF Program, follicular and early pregnancy sonography reporting, performance of major and minor surgeries, teaching of medical students and residents, and participation in the education mission of the Department. Patient care is currently on-site in the Center for Women's Health. REI on-call coverage is out-of-hospital and includes early pregnancy sonography reporting.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Must have a MD/DO degree (or foreign equivalent)
Must have completed an OB/GYN residency and a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility
Must be board-certified in the subspecialty of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility
Minimum of five years clinical experience in an academic setting with proven leadership skills
Must qualify for a faculty position as Associate Professor or Profesor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Illinois, either on the tenure or non-tenure track (based on qualifications, scholarly activity and experience)
Must have a valid medical licence in Illinois or be eligible for such a license
Must possess excellent clinical skills, work well in a team-based setting, commnicate well and demonstrate a commitment to teaching, mentorship, and leadership

Preferred Qualifications:

A national reputation for excellence in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility is strongly preferred.
