Description:

Position Summary
The clinical instructor position is primarily a clinical role within the department. This position will also involve teaching and mentorship to UIC students and residents during clinical education experiences within the department. Service to the department, college, and/or university committees will be assigned by the Department Head.

Duties & Responsibilities

• 40 hours of clinical time available over a 45-week period annually

• Goal of 35 billable patient care hours per week.

• All students for these experiences will be selected by interview.

• Mentor students from other programs in the clinical setting.

• Other duties and committee work as assigned by the department head.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

• Entry level DPT Degree in Physical Therapy and eligible for Physical Therapy Licensure in the State of Illinoi
• At least 2 years of experience as a clinical instructor/educator in an outpatient physical therapy setting.

• Spanish language proficiency
• ABPTS Specialization in Orthopedic Physical Therapy
