Job Posting for Japanese Collection Student Assistant at University of Kansas
Job Description
The Japanese student assistant will assist in acquisition and cataloging of Japanese language materials; creating/revising online reference guides; serving for the reference desk at the International Collection and others.
Required Qualifications
Currently enrolled in at least 6 credit hours at the University of Kansas.
Knowledge of Japanese language as evidenced by application materials.
Ability to transcribe Japanese using modified Hepburn style romanization as evidenced by application materials.
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent communication (verbal and written) in both Japanese and English.
Experience with creating webpages.
Graduate student in Educational technology, Information management, and/or Japanese studies.
Experience with video recording and editing to create short instructional films.
