Position Overview
The KU Native Storytelling Workshop seeks assistance with administrative support duties. This position will provide preliminary support as well as support during the workshop.
Job Description
95% - Workshop Assistant
5% - Other duties as assigned
- Monitor the workshop website for incoming applications and maintain email correspondence with workshop participants and families before, during, and after the workshop.
- On-site workshop preparation one week before to help with prepping materials for the workshop and to meet with representatives from housing and dining and other workshop personnel, as needed.
- Assist with registration, logistics, etc. during workshop.
5% - Other duties as assigned
- May include coordinating a visit day with Haskell Indian Nations University and helping with social media content.
Position Requirements
This position is on-site and will be for the weeks of June 5- June 9 and June 11 - June 15.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with managing multiple tasks with deadlines as indicated in application materials.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as evidenced in application materials.
- Experience working independently, as well as on a team, as demonstrated in application materials
- Excellent attention to detail as indicated in application materials.
