Job Posting for Student Hourly-Media Crossroads at University of Kansas
Job Description
Students will primarily serve as Technical Directors for student media programming. This includes setting up studio cameras and microphones in the studio and running the TriCaster during the show. Additional duties include supporting student projects in the studio, giving tours, and file management across the Media Crossroads servers.
Required Qualifications
Strong communication skills and attention to detail, as evidenced in application materials
Experience organizing workflow and managing multiple tasks, as evidenced in application materials
During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: 1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or 2) be pre-enrolled in upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or 3) be enrolled in summer session or 4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly)
Preferred Qualifications
Availability between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm during the work week
Availability between semesters
Admitted to the J-school
Completed at least two semesters at KU
Past volunteer or work experience where customer service skills were used
