Monday – Friday; 8:00 am – 5:00 pm., possible overtime occasionally to fill work requirements.
Employee will adhere to all UK HealthCare work time schedules and requirements.
Job Summary
This Contracting Officer II position operates as a contract manager in a hospital environment to procure, plan and execute the movement of goods through the supply chain primarily for King’s Daughters Medical Center which is now part of UK HealthCare. Coordinates the procurement of supplies and equipment. This position is required to determine the best methodology when performing procurement responsibilities and handles both Invitations for Bids and Request for Proposals. This requires a person who is multi-skilled and flexible in the performance of their duties. The Contracting Officer accepts legal responsibility for actions taken in performance of assigned duties.
This position is essential to UK HealthCare’s operations and will follow UK HealthCare’s schedule.
This position has been identified as supporting UK HealthCare, which receives funding from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Therefore, all individuals hired into this position must comply with the federal CMS mandate issued in March of 2022. This mandate requires all new hires to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or obtain an approved medical or religious exemption as a condition of employment. Start of employment cannot occur until two weeks after receiving the full COVID-19 vaccination series or upon obtaining an approved exemption. Only vaccines approved by the World Health Organization can be accepted.
