Position Title: CCE Community Outreach Student Assistant
Supervisor: Community Engagement Coordinator
Term: One-year appointment for Academic Year 2024-2025 with opportunity for re-application and re-hire.
Hours/Week: 10 hours per week, with flexible scheduling and working location options.
Essential Duties:
Keep regular in-person office hours for team communication and support.
Create promotional content for events and initiatives across multiple formats.
Work with the Coordinator to maintain engaging social media content on Instagram and Facebook.
Champion at least one community service event sponsored by the Center for Community Engagement.
Coordinate with partners to identify community needs and volunteer opportunities.
Take on varied tasks as needed, collaborating effectively with faculty, staff, and students.
Be flexible/available to work some weekends and evenings, to support events sponsored by the Center for Community Engagement.

Candidate Profile:
A full-time undergraduate student at the University of Lynchburg
Google Suite and social media savvy (including Instagram and Facebook).
Strong design experience using Canva or Adobe InDesign.
Samples of design work will be requested during the interview process.
Outstanding written and spoken communication skills.
Ability to work with a diverse student population, as well as faculty, staff, and parents.
