Job Purpose
To assist the Office of Marketing and Communications with various tasks and support, able to
work 8-10 hours per week (flexible schedule). Training will be offered.
Primary responsibilities
- Greet visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer and return phone calls, and respond to emails.
- Clean out files, sorting/copying/scanning paperwork.
- Submit office work orders.
- Handle office deliveries, pick up and distribute office mail.
- Deliver packages to the campus mailroom and/or to offices across campus.
- Order and restock office supplies as needed.
- Support the AVP for Marketing and Communications as needed.
- Other duties involving administrative assistance as assigned.
Additional responsibilities:
- Distribute the Lynchburg Magazine on campus and/or to select locations in the city of
- Lynchburg.
- Light lifting of boxes within the office and/or between Marketing and Communications
- buildings (three buildings located next to each other).
- Support Marketing and Communications team members as needed.
Qualifications
Required experience/skills:
- Excellent interpersonal skills and collaborative team player
- Professional speaking and writing skills
- Committed to proofreading and producing accurate work
- Highly self-motivated and a quick learner
- Organized with great attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated proficiency in using personal computers with solid experience using
- Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Adobe Creative Cloud (i.e., Acrobat and
- Photoshop experience)
Note: Having a vehicle will be helpful in this position, but it is not required.
Salary : $22,200 - $28,100
