The University of Maine at Augusta is growing! UMA is now offering an Aircraft Maintenance Technician School (AMTS) and is accepting applications for an AMTS Program Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the University Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Aircraft and Powerplant (A&P) training program. The manager will be responsible for ensuring training is conducted per the AMTS syllabi and the FAA-approved Training Course Outline (TCO), as well as ensuring proper documentation for students and monitoring student instruction in both the classroom and hands-on laboratory settings.

Salary: The hiring salary range for this position is $45,000 to $50,000 and is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, evenings and weekends as necessary

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of faculty, staff, and students
  • Ability to accurately document, record information, and maintain company record keeping, with high attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Ability to exercise discretion and use sound judgment in decision-making
  • Skille in monitoring, mentoring, and evaluating others

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Five to seven years of relevant A&P experience

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Current FAA A&P Certification
