This position will focus on undergraduate students with primary territory in Maine.
The Assistant Director of Admissions educates prospective first-year students, transfers, adults, graduate students, high school students, counselors and parents/family members about the University of Southern Maine and the overall college selection, application, and admissions process.
This position is responsible for all aspects and phases of college admission including recruitment, counseling, advising, and evaluation of prospective students and applicants. This assistant director will focus on the management of a video messaging tool to build effective communication campaigns for students throughout the applicant to enrolled stages and will focus on assisting with the coordination of virtual and off-campus recruitment travel organization for the admission counseling staff.
This is a full-time position with an annual salary up to $44,066 commensurate with experience and will primarily be located on our Gorham Campus with expectation of work/service in Portland and our Lewiston/Auburn Campus. This position may require evening and weekend on-call responsibilities, as well as participating in local events to speak with prospective students.

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited higher education institution.
- Minimum of two years related higher education experience.
- Exemplary customer service.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license with proper insurance compliant with Maine requirements.
