Student Engagement and Leadership is one of most integral departments in Student Affairs at the University of Southern Maine. We work directly with students each day and encourage academic success, interpersonal and social growth, and leadership development. The Coordinator of Student Engagement & Leadership will develop and implement programs that focus on the social, educational, recreational, wellness, diverse, and inclusive needs of our students. They will assist in the facilitation of leadership opportunities for students that includes leadership workshops, developmental training, conferences, and events. The Coordinator will provide leadership and support to our Board of Student Organization and other clubs and entities under our Student Government Association. The Coordinator collaborates with students and staff to facilitate student success, enhance the quality of campus life, foster leadership and create an inclusive and welcoming campus environment. The position requires a blended form of professional autonomy and teamwork while being a part of an eclectic group of offices within Student Engagement & Leadership.
This is a full-time position with an annual salary up to $43,500 commensurate with experience. This position is within the Student Affairs Division and is located on our Portland Campus in the new McGoldrick Career and Student Success Center.

- Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of experience in a university of college environment.
- Valid Maine Driver’s License
