The University of Maine at Augusta invites applicants for the position for Part-Time Faculty to teach in our Justice Studies program. The successful candidate will have experience with subject matter in a wide range of justice studies topics including:
- Police Civil Liability
- Laws of Criminal Evidence
- Principles of Investigation
- Resilient and Safe Communities
- Hate Crime
- Other related topics
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to teaching and working with students one-on-one. This position can be based on either UMA's Augusta or Bangor campus.
Duties include teaching justice studies in a variety of modalities, including online.

Salary: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and previous college teaching experience, in accordance with the PATFA contract.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Justice Studies, Criminal Justice, or a related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience teaching justice studies courses
- Experience with learning management systems (Blackboard, Brightspace, Canvas, etc.)
