The Analyst for Student Business Services will be responsible for supporting technical needs, testing and updating current procedures, and completing various reconciliation and audits.
UMBC offers competitive compensation. This role starts at $65,000 and has over 4 weeks of vacation for regular full time roles. Tuition remission is also available.

A hybrid telework schedule may be available.
- Analyzes business and technology needs, and designs, updates, and implements processes to keep current.
- Manages new term set up process, including billing and adjustment calendars, term fees, course and class fees, and special billing.
- Analyzes and provides guidance and support to office staff in resolving student accounts with complex issues.
- Completes complex bank and General Ledger reconciliations/audits, prepares and processes journal entries, and generates reports to analyze financial accounts.
- Troubleshoots tuition calculation process and clear errors.
- Completes the annual 1098-T process (including testing, developing and coding).
- Backup for the Refund and Collections processor.
- Assists with ERP systems patches and upgrades.
- Bachelors Degree preferably in Accounting or Business/Technical related field

One year of experience with Financial ERP or related ERP system.
Proficient in MS Office, with emphasis on Excel.
Experience with higher education Student Financial ERP systems.
A background check will be required.
