What You Will Do:
Student Nurse - Bone Marrow Transplant Unit Per Diem -PRN
The Student Nurse, under the direct supervision of a registered nurse, participates in the nursing process in delivering care to patients and their families. Duties and responsibilities include direct care activities required in daily practice on the assigned unit. Fulfillment of the job duties requires the employee to have access to medication storage areas.
The Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center is a NCI (National Cancer Institute) and provides comprehensive care to patients undergoing bone marrow/stem cell transplantation. Other patients for in this unit include hematology/oncology Cancer Center patients requiring inpatient treatment, as well as those patients serving as marrow donors through the National Marrow Donor Program and Gift of Life. Patients can be admitted to the unit from home, other hospitals, and other inpatient units, or from the outpatient unit.
What You Need to Be Successful:
Currently enrolled in an accredited school of nursing program, good academic standing for junior or senior year of a BSN, AA or Diploma program.
