Summary
The Office of Student Career Advancement and Success (SCAS) seeks a talented, energetic, and reliable student for a communication-oriented position beginning Fall 2022. This is an on-campus, part-time job opportunity.
Responsibilities*
- Create marketing materials for SCAS events and services
- Promote and market events using multiple outlets including Handshake, social media, and the university website
- Assist career development service committee (CDSC) staff with events/programs
- Write articles for website material, newsletter content, or other uses
- Enter job/internship postings into online database for all students to browse
- Use Excel to compile data
- Assists with the collection of surveys, opinion polls or questionnaire data
- Other duties as assigned

- Currently enrolled UM-Flint student

Desired Qualifications*
Ideal candidates will possess the following skills:
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong ability to think critically
- Understanding of marketing design and layout software; Canva or Adobe preferred
- Familiarity with major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn)
- Familiarity with WordPress
- Outgoing personality, including ability to communicate and work with diverse constituents
- Professional demeanor
- Knowledge of data collection methods, such as surveys, opinion polls, and questionnaires
