Summary

The University of Michigan Health Rogel Cancer Center is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic web content administration for a temporary position to help us move our current web content (both external and internal) into new web platforms.

Michigan Medicine is in the process of consolidating its external-facing websites into four. These sites are being built in drupal 10. Michigan Medicine is also converting its internal sites from html into SharePoint. Both projects have a completion timeline of December 31, 2024.

The web content administrator temp will assist with content migration from both the external and internal Rogel sites.

Successful candidates will have experience in both drupal and SharePoint. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-past, creative environment and can juggle multiple projects at once.

Responsibilities*

  • Work closely with Web Project Manager to build pages in drupal and SharePoint.
  • Ensure appropriate and professional presentation of web content within the new site, including correct coding, SEO and brand standards.
  • Assist with developing content that will motivate and entertain users so that they regularly access the website(s) and utilize it as a major source for information and decision-making.
  • Proofread to ensure consistency and accuracy in presentation, grammar and style.
  • Managing and perform website editorial activities, including gathering and researching the information that enhances the value of the site.

Required Qualifications*

  • Knowledge and experience with Drupal and SharePoint content management systems.
  • Some experience in production management, web page design, web writing and SEO, and web accessibility.
  • Excellent proof-reading skills; proficient in spelling, grammar and punctuation.
  • Demonstrated success in communicating and creating in the webspace.
  • Accustomed to the strategic use of web platforms for brand awareness, reputation management and customer service.
  • Ability to produce high-quality work on deadline and handle several projects at once.
  • Ability to take both direction and initiative. Skilled multi-tasker, excellent listener and extremely organized.

Location: Remote and NCAC Suite 2400, 2901 Hubbard, Ann Arbor

Additional Information

  • Work will be primarily remote with on-site attendance as needed, working with members of the Rogel communications team and others through staff meetings, emails, Zoom calls and other forms of communication. Fully remote candidates will be considered.
  • This temporary position is expected to extend for 6 months to 1 year.
  • 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
