Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist Simulation Education Specialist-SP Manager and the SP Training/Development Coordinator in training of SPs; portray a medical student or other healthcare learner and facilitate training workshops.
- Assist the team in providing SP feedback and administering other QA measures.
- Assist in case development and large scale event planning and administration of large scale events.
- Plan and facilitate small group teaching events (ex. physical exam sessions), under supervision of Simulation Education Specialist.
- Coordinate all new SP paperwork and parking.
- Maintain SP information/updated files.
- Schedule facilities and resources needed for trainings.
- Coordinate with Simulation Center Staff to support utilization of the simulation center management software (Learning Space).
- Prepare materials for training and assessment of events.
- Prepare facilities for events (preparing patient exam rooms, setting up training materials, posting signage, applying moulage, etc.).
- Schedule SPs for programs.
- Manage SP email correspondence related to events and SP recruitment.
- Provide event orientations to SPs and other event participants.
- Maintain confidential paper and computer files.
- Fulfill additional duties and/or special projects as assigned by Simulation Center Director and/or Simulation Education Specialist-SP Manager.
- Independently prioritize and juggle multiple projects simultaneously, often under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Participate in additional simulation events in Center and at off-site locations, when needed.
- Work evening, weekend or off-site when required. Early morning work (sometimes starting as early as 6:00am) may be required.
- Monitor simulated participant exercises, provide feedback and evaluation as required.
- Support implementation of quality assurance/improvement programs for the department.
- Promote positive communications and inter-school, university, and community relations.
Salary
Salary Range:$17.96-$33.18 (hourly)

Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
- High School Diploma plus four years of additional training required; college degree preferred.
- Two to four years of experience working in an educational, preferably simulation, environment.
- Customer-service experience necessary.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experienced in or willing to learn principles and methods of quality improvement.
